The Greek Forum of Migrants, the Community of Ivory Coast in Greece and Vana Ba Afrika are excited to present Kypseli Mundial. The inaugural football tournament and cultural festival by migrant and refugee communities in Athens will take place on the 11 & 12 of May 2024.
Event Details:
Date: Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th May 2024
Time: From midday - 12:00 pm
Venue: Alepotrypa Stadium, Kypseli, Athens
Admission: FREE for everyone!
- Football Matches: 11Vs11 Men’s and women’s knock-out football matches between migrant communities from Nigeria, Albania, Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Malakasa Refugee Camp, as well as teams from Kypseli, Peristeri and Kaisariani.
- Interactive Workshops: Interactive music, dance and sports workshops, where participants of all ages can learn new moves, connect with others, and celebrate cultural expressions.
- Arts & entertainment: Come to witness puppet shows, Face-Painting, theatre and martial arts performances… there’s something for everyone!
- Bazaar: Sample local and world delicacies from Egypt, Ethiopia, Albania, Afghanistan, Georgia, Iran, Cameroon, Congo, Ukraine, Senegal, Sudan, Turkey, and discover handmade handicrafts from around the world, and support the associations and organizations by and for migrants in Athens.
- Live Music & Dance: As the sun sets, the stage will come alive with musicians and dancers from Syria, Congo, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Egypt, Afghanistan, Albania, Georgia, Greece, and beyond!
