KYPSELI MUNDIAL 2025
Community football tournament & Cultural festival
10 & 11 MAY 2025
Stadium Alepotrypa - Kypseli, Athens
For a second year in a row, we are excited to present the 2nd Kypseli Mundial: the football tournament and cultural festival organised by migrant and refugee communities of Athens will take place on the 10 & 11 of May 2025.
Event Details:
Date: Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th May 2025
Time: 10:00 - 22:00
Venue: Alepotrypa Stadium, Kypseli, Athens
Admission: FREE for everyone!
Football Matches: This year the participation exceeded our expectations! There are 16 men’s teams participating and 4 women’s teams. The men’s teams are separated into 4 groups of 4 teams. Each team played two games on the 3rd and 4th of May, with the final group stage game on Saturday 10th May. The top two men’s teams from each group will proceed to the knock-out stages on Sunday, with the final at 7.30pm. The women’s teams will play semi-finals on Saturday 10th of May and the final on Sunday 11th May at 6.30pm. Please see below the list of participating teams.
Interactive Workshops: Interactive music, dance and sports workshops, where participants of all ages can learn new moves, connect with others, and celebrate cultural expressions.
Arts & entertainment: Come to witness puppet shows, Face-Painting, theatre and martial arts performances… there’s something for everyone!
Bazaar: Sample local and world delicacies from Egypt, Ethiopia, Albania, Afghanistan, Georgia, Iran, Cameroon, Congo, Ukraine, Senegal, Sudan, Turkey, and discover handmade handicrafts from around the world, and support the associations and organizations by and for migrants in Athens.
Live Music & Dance: As the sun sets, the stage will come alive with musicians and dancers from Syria, Congo, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Egypt, Afghanistan, Albania, Georgia and beyond!

KYPSELI MUNDIAL 2025 is organised by the Community Rights in Greece, the Greek Forum of Migrants, the Ivorian Community in Greece, and the Cultural Community Vana Ba Afrika.
KYPSELI MUNDIAL 2025 is supported by OPANDA - City of Athens culture, sports and youth organization, the Charles Antetokounmpo Family Foundation (CAFF), and the Goethe Institut in Athens. The event is sponsored by RIA Money Transfer, TAZA Mobile, Athlete’s Foot and Ioli Water.
We will be joined by the Volunteer Nursing Service Sector of the Hellenic Red Cross, which will undertake the health coverage of the Kypseli Mundial 2025 football matches on 10 and 11 May and Médecins du Monde, which undertook the coverage of the qualifying matches.
