Adla Shashati originates both from Khartoum and Serres. She is a journalist with a degree in Media and Cultural Studies and a postgraduate diploma at the Kapodistrian University of Athens in New Media Technologies.

She has experience in issues of immigration, the fight against racism and xenophobia at national and European level. She was a representative of the countries of the South in the European Network Against Racism and Xenophobia (ENAR). She is a member of the Greek Forum of Migrants and a director of the organization`s office.
